Seeds Sown...
By Rhema Christian Center
Halt Violence, established in 2014 is a hands on intervention program that takes the message of hope, restoration and life directly to the streets. Under this organization, Rhema’s support fills in the gaps beyond grants and provides tangible resources for those being served to move forward in life.
“There are a lot of needs that exist for the people that we serve,” states, CEO, Thell Robinson. “The tithe that is sown by Rhema helps to meet the needs of individuals on the spot. Meals, clothing, assistance with things that will help them move forward, this is where the need is met.”
Serving individuals who are surrounded by violence, Halt Violence works directly with shooters, gang members, teen fathers and people who have been submerged in rough lifestyle. Building relationships with individuals and seeing them as God sees them, this ministry does not sit on the side lines, but rather intervenes, provides mediation and non-violent alternative to those involved in violent situations. Desiring to see people walk in wholeness, this ministry looks at the needs of individuals and works to elevate barriers through mentorship and other entities.
Connecting them to resources, educational connections, preparing them for employment, cultivating and upgrading skills, and connecting them to employers for direct hires, Halt Violence is reaching the lost, training for service and changing our world.
“Thank you Rhema for being a participant of the Matt. 5:9 scripture. Bless you and the leaders. Bishop sees the value of Halt and we appreciate you all and your participation and in the life of the community. The most important impact has been the power of prayer that is released continually. I am on the calls monthly, and my ministry is outside of the four walls. These prayer connections have been my strength and strength to the program.”
